In 2006 Telekom Austria launched its IPTV service for DSL broadband customers. The solution is fully integrated into Telekom Austria’s fulfillment and billing processes by using Infonova BSS - the IP service management platform of Telekom Austria - and is based on Alcatel-Lucent’s OMP IPTV platform.

The tight integration of Infonova BSS and the Alcatel-Lucent OMP platform is the prerequisite for the successful offering of IPTV as part of single or bundled product offerings. Infonova BSS supports functionalities like single touch provisioning, event based billing for Video on demand services and ordering of Add-Ons like premium TV using various sales channels including TV Portal or internet Portal.
